The Sickle Cell Programme (SCP)

 

SCP was established with a singular focus to alleviate the global impact of Sickle Cell Disease through comprehensive Coordination, Healthcare, Advocacy, Research, and Training. At the heart of our organization is a vision to support government efforts to reduce the burden of Sickle Cell Disease in Tanzania, ensuring that national health strategies are empowered by specialized expertise and sustainable clinical outcomes.

To achieve this, we are driven by a mission to support Coordination, Healthcare, Advocacy, Research, and Training for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) by uniting a dedicated collective of academicians, researchers, healthcare providers, and passionate individuals. By fostering these critical partnerships, we work to promote, strengthen, and develop a robust framework that advances the standard of care and scientific inquiry within Tanzania, ultimately transforming the lives of those affected by this condition.
